Dan Suckley was born in Ohio and lived in Michigan until the age of 16. In 1983, his family moved to Corpus Christi, choosing the Flour Bluff community due to its strong academic programs, vibrant culture, and athletic opportunities. Dan graduated with honors from Flour Bluff High School in 1985 and later earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi.
Dan’s family includes his wife, Rosanne, whom he met on his first day of work at American Bank. They have been happily married for 30 years and have two children, both of whom graduated from Flour Bluff High School. Brendan is 25 years old and graduated from Rice University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, where he also played football for four years. He later earned an accelerated Master’s in Business from Texas A&M – College Station. Elyse is 24 and graduated from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi with a degree in Marketing. She is currently serving as the Competitions and Operations Coordinator for Buc Days.

o Visit Corpus Christi (Convention & Visitor’s Bureau): 2018 to 2022 as a board member and former Chair. Also serving on the 2025 board as Chairman- Emeritus
o Flour Bluff I.S.D. School Board Trustee: 2007-2016
o Padre Island Business Association – Board Member
o Big Brother Big Sisters – Board Member and Chair
o American Cancer Society – Board Member
o South Texas Consumer Education Foundation – Board Member

o Assisted the Flour Bluff ISD Athletic Department with fundraising for many years, including obtaining a $15,000 grant to obtain additional equipment for the football team
